Community Service
At Dudley Elementary School we continually strive to connect and help our communities, both locally and globally. We have been involved in: Hats for Haiti, local food banks, Jump Rope for Heart, Pennies for our Past, and Warm Hearts, Warm Homes.
Last spring Dudley Elementary School students and staff raised over $800 dollars towards restoring the barn at The Black Tavern. The Black Tavern is near and dear to Dudley Elementary. We have raised over $10,000 altogether in the past 8 years!
This year we have added two new community service projects: Treats for Troops and our own Dudley Elementary Friendship Swap Shop, where our school community shares clothing and other items, (see photo below).
Thank you to all the generous members of our school community.
We don't help others to receive recognition. We do it because it is important to care about the people around us. We connect with our commmunity and with other people in the world because it is the right thing to do! It is nice, however, to receive a thank you telling us that our efforts have made a difference.
